What should I wear to the event?
You are welcome to wear whatever you like – something simple and figure flattering is best, and not too much makeup. Casual or “casual-chic” is fine. If you have long hair, you probably want to wear it down for your model search audition photo.

Do I need to bring anything?
No, but if you have a snapshot or professional comp card or headshot that you want to leave with your registration, you can bring that. If you have other materials (a portfolio, other pictures, resume, etc.) you may want to bring those, though they are not required.

Does the event cost anything?
No, attending is entirely free! This includes your Model Search entry and a valuable info session on “Understanding the Minneapolis Modeling Market and Avoiding Scams.” We will have select sponsors at the event and you may browse or purchase their products/services that are of interest to you or beneficial as you pursue the talent industry. The primary purpose of this event is to HELP aspiring models, and any products/services offered are presented in a no-pressure, no obligation sort of way, with the models best interest in mind.

This event sounds very exciting, but how do I know it’s not another scam or dead-end?
We are so glad you’re asking that! The very fact that you’re skeptical means you are on the right track! Come see for yourself… we have a sincere passion for getting aspiring talent the upfront info they need.

What if I have no experience with any sort of modeling?
Perfect. Start here to get the info you need, decide if this industry is something you want to pursue, and enter for the chance to win a modeling-experience.

What if I am already a working model?
You are more than welcome to come, though the event is aimed at aspiring talent. If you are already working with a legitimate, local agency, the information in our session may not be new to you. But you will still be eligible to enter the model search opportunity and may find some great resources by browsing the event tables!  There will be discounts offered on things such as photography & comp cards, so if you need updates on these things, this could be a great chance to make a good investment.
